If you know Liud you know he has always been the life of the party, positive regardless of what life has thrown at him. He has lived in New York city most of his life where he had his daughter who is now a brilliant young woman. Driving a New York City cab for 9 years and enjoying every minute of it, meeting the best and worst NYC has to offer. In late 2012, he started to feel like something was physically wrong, several doctor visits later and no one could figure out what was wrong.
In 2013 after fighting with doctors and insisting there was something seriously wrong with him, he was diagnosed with Stage 3 Colon Cancer. He was immediately put on radiation, after 3 months of radiation doctors decided to do surgery and try to remove the tumor. During surgery they were only able to remove a small part of the tumor. A colostomy was put in and he was put back on chemo and sent home. Doctors weren’t very eager to help him find a way to beat this, instead they pointed him to chemo as the only option and hope for the best. As you can imagine working became nearly impossible. It’s now been 4 years, he is now in stage 4 colon cancer which has spread to his liver and lungs. Although Liud is a fighter and there is no doubt in my mind that he is a strong man, cancer has run its course and chemo is no longer an option for him. At this point doctors have given him until May 2018. He is left with the over whelming task of facing death.
We ask for your help at this time, Liud has been reluctant to ask for help in his entire battle but we have no other option. Any little bit counts.
