Braving the Shave

Tax deductible
My name is Kirsty. I am 30 years old and live in Bishop Auckland with my husband and young son. I am an Royal Air Force veteran having served 8 years as a personnel support administrator. During these unpresidented times myself and my husband have been thinking of ways that we can raise money to  help others. The NHS and other Key workers such as delivery drivers, post men, bin men, supermarket staff etc are working incredible hard to keep our country going. Although we are obeying the governments law to stay at home and save lives we just don’t feel as though we are doing enough to help the cause. My husband Chris, who is a serving member of the Royal Air Force Regiment has suggested that he shaves my head. Now, everyone who knows me, knows that my appearance is important to me. My hair being an important factor. The thought of it makes me feel a little sick tbh. Having thought long and hard about it, I have decided that I will let Chris shave my head to a grade 4....but...only if I can raise a minimum of £1,000 by 31st Jul 2020.  I don’t think I can raise that much money so I am pretty sure my hair is safe. However, Chris would take great pleasure in shaving my head, so if you would like to see me have my hair shaved off whilst contributing to an incredibly important cause then please donate as little or as much as you can afford on my go fund me page :) Do you want to join me in making a difference? I'm raising money in aid of NHS Charities Together /Association of NHS Charities and every donation will help. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me. More information about NHS Charities Together /Association of NHS Charities: Helping the NHS do more. NHS Charities Together: Supports and champions the work of NHS Charities. Give 1 million pounds every day to the NHS improving patient care and experience. Fund major capital projects, pioneering research and medical equipment at our hospitals, helping patients access the best possible care when they need it most. Play a key role in mobilising volunteers to support NHS staff, brightening wards and waiting areas. Build an important link between our hospitals and communities. ***As I didn’t reach my £1000 target, my husband had the forfeit of having his chest waxed by me! He was a good sport and we got an extra £35 donation from it. We have managed to raise an amazing £450 for the NHSCharitiesTogether fund. Thank you to everyone who has donated and supported such an important cause!
