House Of BonG Needs A Helping Hand

Donation protected

Soooo ... 2017 has been a huge year for our lil family... Well.. we're sort of... Nah .. not really that little ... We are 7 awesome peoples (mum 33,dad 42, three brothers an two sisters) who are in desperate need of a goodwill "solid" from mankind in general, no preferences or discrimination, we just really need some help!! We set up this go fund me page to allow everyone and anyone who is moved by our cause n situation to donate and to hopefully share our plight with other amazing people. We also hope to touch the hearts of those that know us and our little family members personally both past and present and ask that you believe that we ask for help with the utmost respect for you all and with a genuine sincereness of our hearts. We ask the awesome people that John and I have crossed paths with both before and during our years together, who may have networks or business relationships with others that may be in a position to donate to a just and worthy cause. I believe, that the brilliant nature of the beautiful souls we know will share to others who may be moved also.

... Let me introduce our family....
"The House Of Bong" as we have come to be known as a nickname from our last name, Bobongie .... we are John and Lyzzie, soulmates, friends, lovers, for over 11yrs and husband and wife since August 2017. We have five darling children, who are our world... Kingston 9, Georgia 8, Delilah 4, Johnny Django 2 and Jeremiah 1yrs old.

Let me tell you our story...
We firstly, in March 2017 had to relocate our family from Bowen to Mackay, after we went through, and lost all our families belongings, clothes, furniture and pictures as a result of Cyclone Debbie, this year. We and our children, were able to pick ourselves up and start again in Walkerston Qld, living most of this year with the bare necessity's we were donated, as we focused on the important task of settling our eldest two children, both diagnosed with autism, into a new school, along with new routines for them and the three babies at our new rental home. Prior to the cyclone, we had just sent invitations to our family and close friends for our wedding in August, so along with needing to find a new home, needing to set a new routine for our two autistic children and change schools & replace pretty much our entire home contents we were also committed to plan our wedding.
We somehow managed with relocating & reschooling and after gathering second hand items to furnish our home and help from our families and close friends, we were still able to pay and keep our wedding date that was set for only 5 months after our move.
Our wedding day was exactly as we had been planning for, not too over the top, boho style, with a good group of our loved family and friends and an evening our 5 young children would never forget. It felt like after such a hectic start to the year and intense anxiety over our ability to afford a wedding, we could take a sigh of relief and settle into life again.

Let me tell you what happened...

Two months after our wedding date on the 11th October, Johnny Bongi, my best  friend ,aged 42 was diagnosed with Stage 3 lung cancer, an 11cm growth that has spread from his lung to his 1st/2nd & 3rd ribs and chest wall. He had been told in January, when he first felt pain and discomfort, that his chest pain and reduced use of his arm was due to a pinched nerve and to complete 6 months of physiotherapy. When he lost all use of his right arm, 2 weeks after our wedding, further tests were completed and the diagnosis of terminal lung cancer was given... Exactly 2 months after the happiest day of our lives... The day we thought our future and happily ever after started... We didn't even get to go on a honeymoon. My young family are now starting to struggle financially to keep up with costs that are mounting only 3 weeks into my husbands diagnosis, as needed, we have already made two trip to specialist facilities in Townsville, 4 hours away (8hrs roundtrip) as we live rurally and do not have access to the equipment needed where we live. Once treatment is decided, if any, we will also be required to travel, again to Townsville and possibly Brisbane, for ongoing treatment. r
Running the household for 5 young children, the car that we need for appointments and weekly living expenses, we aren't left with much,  We cannot loose John, because we couldn't afford to fight!! Please help us to be able to take any opportunity we are given to keep our daddy and husband with us as long as possible  While we are not blind to the aggressive destruction and advanced state of the cancer,  as you'd imagine I really want our children n myself to create as many memories as possible with John before he becomes to unwell, but to be able to afford to do something as a family or even a family photoshoot is not attainable at this stage financially. I know We are a humble family, who live within our means and are surviving on the payments we receive for caring for our children who are diagnosed with autism since Johnny stopped working for our local council as a road labourer. As of today Johnny has no movement in his arm and shoulder and uses a sling to support it, this will be for the rest of his life, however long that may be, he is gradually requiring increased doses of pain medication which is his only treatment at this stage.
Donations made will be used to cover medical treatment and travel costs, as well as costs associated with our children during these treatments, they will assist us to make funeral plans and if able for John to be able to enjoy his time with his family and ongoing costs thereafter. Please help us in our time of need, and give our family a chance to make the most of our time left together. Lyzzie xxoo
