Thank you considering helping our family through these times! Little Eli was born on at 29 weeks and is currently on support in NICO. He was without fluids for 13 weeks before birth and was thought as having slim to no chances at birth. But here he is our miracle baby!
Eli has been fighting from the second he blessed us with his presence and is showing stronger chances everyday. Our medical staff and support were worried that he would even be born with functional lungs and now he's breathing almost completely on his own! A rare and beautiful experience to watch.
One of the most important aspects to his growth and development is having his mother's touch and breast milk consistently through this. Currently he is 3 hrs away from home, so his mother must stay within close limits of the hospital to make sure he receives what he needs hourly.
This has proven to be a heavy financial strain on our family, As we are now a one income home with the mother hours away with Eli, and the father taking care of our 3 beautiful girls at home. With travel expenses, room and board, and everyday costs this has become very hard to control.
Our Church and family has helped us so much already. However, little Eli will need to be in care for the next two to three months at least to provide him the chance to come home. It is currently costing us over $80-$100 a day just to keep his mother close for the consistent support he needs from her.
Please consider helping our family in need. Our goal is designed to reach enough support for her to stay with the baby, and to provide the specialty supplies we will need to be able to bring him home for the holidays this year. Any additional funds we receive after this will be provided to the support teams and charities that help wonderful babies like our own.
