All the way through elementary school, I signed up for every performing arts program I could find. I was in choir, drama, and recorder club. I was even chosen as one of only four students in my school asked to perform at the All County Music Festival. I work very hard in school and have a straight A average. I have also worked hard in Math and Science and was able to skip a grade in math!
When my mom heard the news about a magnet program for the Visual and Performing Arts, we were very excited! Fortunately I was able to join the school and am hard at work. All of my classes are advanced placement and I am doing very well.
Now I have been given a once in a lifetime opportunity! My school has a very limited number of spots available for a trip to N.Y.C.!!!
This trip includes all flights, hotel, a NBC Studio Tour, Top of the
Rock, a Nighttime Harbor Tour via boat, possibly a Rockettes Performance, Heart and Lights of New York, two/three Musicals, a Disney Broadway Workshop in a Broadway Rehearsal Hall, a trip to a New York Philharmonic Performance, visits to the Statue of Liberty, the Empire State Building, the American Museum
of Natural History, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Guggenheim Museum, the Museum of Modern Art,
China Town, Little Italy, St. Peter's Cathedral, 9/11 Memorial, Time Square, and many, many other places!!!
This is truly the opportunity of a lifetime for me to explore, to learn, to experience!
My mom and I are working very hard to fund this trip and we are reaching out to friends, family, and/or someone looking to help a child explore the possibilities of dreams.
