Bob Feller once said, "Cooperstown is the greatest place on Earth." Cooperstown, NY is best known as the home of the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum. The first five men elected in 1936 were some of the greatest players"”Ty Cobb, Babe Ruth, Honus Wagner, Christy Mathewson and Walter Johnson. People from all over the world visit this museum. Among those visitors"”young ball players hoping to realize their own dreams of becoming great baseball players.
On July 26, 2014, the Westbury Wildcats, a 12U select team from Houston, TX, will visit Cooperstown Dreams Park and will spend a week playing baseball against teams from all over the country. Much like the National Baseball Hall of Fame for major league baseball players, our boys will also be inducted into the American Youth Baseball Hall of Fame. For these "boys of summer," it will be a dream come true! To make this dream a reality, the boys are working hard to raise funds for their trip by organizing a garage sale, selling briskets, and making baseball decor to sell throughout the year. In addition, we've set up this GoFundMe page for family and friends to contribute to the boys' efforts. Should you choose to make a donation, your hard earned money will be used to help cover travel, lodging, and tournament expenses for the team, and will make wonderful memories for these boys for years to come!
