Just as David fought Goliath, 3 year old Willie Sunderhaus has bravely begun his long battle against Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL).
This wonderful sweet child who loves Jesus and sings gospel music is the only son of Stephanie and Brian Sunderhaus. They have two daughters; Elizabeth, age five and Mary, age one. A new baby will bless the Sunderhaus home in February.
Like a thief in the night, cancer suddenly changed the lives of this family. An ordinary Tuesday found Willie and his mother at the pediatrician for a common childhood ailment. On Wednesday, the Sunderhaus family huddled in prayer at St. Mary's pediatric oncology department.
For those of you unfamiliar with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. It is a cancer that attacks the bone marrow and blood. Willie's multi phase treatment plan will is expected to last up to 3 years.
In his first week as a cancer patient, Willie has had a port implanted for long term chemotherapy treatments, spinal taps, bone marrow biopsies, and blood transfusions...the list goes on and on.
We ask you to prayerfully consider supporting Willie and his family. Your donations will go to alleviate costs of medical bills, prescriptions, insurance co-pays, travel costs, and lost wages. Your financial gifts will bless this family during their time of need and will be greatly appreciated.
