Save my home from foreclosure

My home is scheduled to be foreclosed upon on October 29th if I cannot manage to pay all arrears and costs accrued over the past year. I purchased this home seven years ago with my now ex. He moved out of the house after having left me quite suddenly to be with his mistress, thus leaving me with the responsibility of trying to manage the mortgage, all of the debt he left me with, and my living expenses on my own. I wanted to sell the home to avoid having this impact my credit but he refused to cooperate, and because he is also named on the deed, I could not proceed. If I can manage to raise the money to save my home from going into foreclosure, I have a family friend willing to rent it to maintain mortgage payments while I'm living in another province finishing my education. Please help me avoid foreclosure!


Why $10,000? I received a letter in the mail after my ex vacated the home and stopped making payment entirely unbeknownst to me. The letter is a demand for $8000+; however, an email from the lawyer indicates that the cost of advertising the home for auction increases what I owe each day. If I don't raise the required funds, I will then owe the bank whatever is left owing after the sale of the home, which I'm also in no position to pay at this point. If you can spare any amount, it would be helpful and appreciated. If not, please pass the link along to maybe somebody who is in a position to help.


I'm not one to reach out and ask for help. I'm usually the one offering an extended hand to those in need so this is a new position I'm finding myself in. I have four weeks to raise the money. This would be a tremendous relief for me.
