DSP2018 Indoor Percussion Tuition

Hi everyone. My name is Travis McDonald. For those who do not know yet, I have been offered a spot in Dark Sky Percussion for this upcoming 2018 Indoor season. Dark Sky Percussion is a highly competitive indoor percussion ensemble that competes regionally throughout Southern California, and nationally for championships in Dayton, OH. This has been a huge dream of mine for several years now and I am truly honored to have been offered a spot for this amazing organization and performing ensemble. I don’t believe however that I can do all of this alone. I currently have to drive myself down every weekend from Fresno to Anaheim from now until April, and the cost of transportation alone is a huge financial burden for me. My time outside of Dark Sky is typically spent at Fresno City College, where I am majoring in Music, looking to transfer by Fall of 2019 to a four-year university to complete my degree in Music Education. For everyone that knows me, my love of music and performing translates into my teaching at the several groups I have had the privilege to work with including Clovis East High School, Reyburn Intermediate School, Abraham Lincoln Middle School, and Selma High School. I hope through learning and performing with a group such as Dark Sky Percussion, that I can pass on my knowledge and teachings to my own students and inspire future generations of young performers like myself. Every little bit helps tremendously and is always appreciated deeply by myself and my family.
