Plagiocephaly Helmet Needed 4 Lily

This is Liliana Grace who’s 4 months old :) Since birth she’s been in and out of the children’s hospital due to catching viruses and she did have some issues with having holes in her heart however through prayers and faith the Lord has helped the holes get smaller. She will continued to be monitored and will be a follow up next year to make sure the muscle in the heart didn’t grow so that she won’t need surgery.

Since then after being in the hospital multiple times early on, one side of her head became flatter than the other and the positioning of her ears are not aligned. She’s been seeing a paediatrician and they recommended us to get a reshaping helmet so that her head can be shaped normally and she won’t have trouble with her ears when she grows up. The cost of this helmet is $2880 and when she saw the people who make the helmet they saw that she really needed it. She has a condition called Plagiocephally and it’s at the moderate to severe level of being misshaped.

We’re reaching out because there have been many expenses so far since she was born from the medication she has to take for her acid reflux, the hospital stays, the food, and we are also still looking for our own place to live with our family. These expenses for the helmet wont be covered through medical insurance because we can’t afford it and also OHIP doesn’t cover it.

The cost for the helmet needs to be paid in full by March 13th in order to get the helmet. There will also be about $400 in travelling expenses to go to and from appointments until she’s 1 year old.

Also to note that the doctors said this is the time she has to start wearing it or else it will be too late to fix.
