Gias journey

Donation protected
On August 15 2017 God blessed us with a beautiful baby girl by the name of Gia Rose Macias. She was admitted to the NICU for a couple days then she was sent home. After being home for 8 days her heart stoped and she went blue,we had to administer CPR in order to resuscitate her and keep her alive long enough to reach the hospital. It was that stay at the hospital on September 3,2017 that she was diagnosed with a very rare neurological disorder (agenesis of the corpus callosum) which cause her to have epileptic seizures from that date she was to stay in the NICU at las palmas until dr were able to find medications that worked for her. She was also put on a gtube (feeding tube) due to the fact that her meds make her very sleepy and she struggles to eat on her own. On October 13,2017 she was finally able to come home from the nicu. She was only home for 2 days before she was rushed back to the ER after her heart stopped and she stopped breathing for the second time.It took her dad 2 minuets of relentless CPR to bring her back to life. When the EMTs transported her to the hospital they had to perform a emergency dose of medicine that was given on her leg and was not successful .Gia and dad were flown to the University Hospital of San Antonio along with our toddler Camila in hopes of this specialist saving her leg. We still do not know what is causing or babies life threatening seizures but we pay every day we will find the right treatment.Any little donation helps even a small prayer for our little warrior. My husband resigned from his job in order to help me with everything Gia will need as well as watching our other daughter. We just need enough money to survive until we can figure out a plan of home care for my daughter that will allow my husband to go back to work.Thank you in advance and god bless. The Macias family ❤️

Update 11-1
For those who we haven't kept updated on our go fund me page we are sorry! If you text or message Saul or myself we will get back to you guys as soon as we can. Meetings with these doctors and having to still focus on ourselves plus Camila is hard! We are still here in San Antonio. Rose has had more tests done and tomorrow is finally her big day to have her surgery on her leg amputation. Please continue to keep us your thoughts and prayers. We hope to be home soon surgery will be tomorrow at 7:30am

Update 11-17
Shortly After Gias Surgery the doctors started to notice her nub was not healing properly and she also started to have seizures again along with a bad blood infection. She has had to Receive blood twice since her stay. She will have to have another surgery after the wound declares is self more and her body saves all the tissue it can.As of today we have been in San Antonio for a total of 31 days. The days are hard but we continue to stay strong for both of our daughters. If she is stable throughout the weekend we will be discharged to El Paso Childrens Hospital. Adjusting to being back home and catching up with our finances will be a challenge. A donation or even a prayer would help our family in this time of need.
THANK YOU

12-1
We are finally back home and baby Gia has been transferred to El Paso Childrens Hospital. She is going to under go a few more surgeries in order to clean her wound and save what’s left of her leg as well as a wound Vac to help it along.

12-6
Gia has moderate to severe sleep apnea as well as life treating seizures so her team of doctors are deciding that a Tracheostomy tube would be her best option. Saying we are scared about this surgery would be a understatement. Please keep us all in your prayers.
