Thank you so very much for taking the time out of your busy day to read this page.

Allow me to introduce to you my very dear friend James Thompson, or as his friends call him JT. JT is a Crime Prevention Officer for Syracuse University. He has been employed with Syracuse University for over 25 years. He ensures that all students who come to "his" university are protected and safe and he ensures that no student ever gets turned away when they have have special needs or safety concern requests. JT treats every student as if they were his own children and he gives his 100% to ensure that their safety and well being is job 1. JT understands that those parents who send their children to "his" university, are trusting him to take care of them and return them home safe and sound. A job he takes very seriously, as he should because he has 3 daughters who have attended college and he expected the same from the crime prevention officers at the colleges he sent his 3 daughters to. This is the same guy that mows the lawns of his elderly neighbors and other elderly people in his community because they simply cant do it themselves and as JT likes to say " I love being outside and I especially love the reward of helping those who cant do it for themselves. Smiles are payment enough for me."

Now that you know a little background about JT, allow me to explain to you why JT needs our help. Recently JT had back surgery, after it was discovered by doctors that he had 2 crushed vertebrae. What alerted JT to his back problem was one day while performing his duties at work, his right foot just went dead on him. He was getting no response from it and could barely walk. After numerous X-rays and MRI's doctors dicsovered the crushed vertebrae in his back and decided they needed to act quickly before his situation got worst, to the point where JT could become paralyzed. The problem started when Initially JT's insurance was reluctant to pay for the surgery, but after using rough tactics by his doctor to get JT approved for his surgery, the insurance company finally paid.

The problem now is that JT's right foot is still dead and is causing him unbearable pain to the point where he has to ice down his foot every hour, making sleep almost impossible. JT has to go to physical therapy 2 times a week, and his co pay on his insurance is $50 each visit. JT is constanly medicated so that he is not in pain and can at least sleep a little bit through the pain. To make things even worst, his employer has recently informed him that because he has been out of work for more than 4 months, he would lose 40% of his pay until his 8 month mark and at which time he would lose another 20% from his pay. JT is now struggling to pay his mortgage, buy groceries, and even make his utilities payments. This financial harship is hitting JT very hard and he needs our help. I am reaching out to those of you that I know and asking for help. You know I am pestimistic about people asking for money for causes, but I assure you this is a different situation. To those of you I dont know, I cant convince you with my words how much you would be helping my friend JT if you were to donate. All I can offer you is my word that this man deserves your help if you are so gracious enough to give it. It truly is a worthy cause and I say thank you for whatever you can donate.

Thank you so much for your time.

Respectively,,

A good Friend.
