BABY GOODNESS MEDICAL OPERATIONS BILL

Goodness was born in June 2009 in Nigeria with defective intestine such that he could not pass faeces normally through the anus. Few days after he was born his tummy was swelling as he could not excrete like normal babies that it got to a point that faeces was flowing out of his mouth. Then the mother Florence rushed him backed to Ikeja general hospital where it was discovered that the baby has a defective intestine that could not allow him pass faeces through the anus. Then the doctors decided to have an operation on him to bring out the intestine to bypass the anus to enable him pass faeces. Since then, the baby has undergone more than five operations without the doctors being able to correct the abnormality. Almost five years after his birth and many operations, the boy cannot still use the anus. We have decided to look for ways to raise fund to take him abroad for medical treatment and operations. Two hospitals, Great Ormond Street Hospital, London and BLK Super Speciality Hospital, India had both reviewed the case and said they are capable of carrying out the operations successfully. The cost of the operations and the associated expenses is put at between $20,000:00 to $30,000: though the cost would be lots cheaper in India.
In all this, Kingsley the supposed father of the boy, as soon he saw that baby has some disabilities abandoned him and the mother to their fate, Since then he never care or asked after their welfare, Florence has been catering for herself and the baby by engaging in some petty trading and from little financial assistance she gets from relatives.
The baby is in great pains and needs urgent operations to enable him use the anus.
