A Break From Cancer For Naomi

Naomi is a dedicated family woman, friend, and professional. She has also been a dedicated student for the past several years, working tirelessly to complete her program in record time. Right before her “final Final”, Naomi found a lump. She bravely finished her exam, and was diagnosed with ductal adenocarcinoma. The doctors thought it was early enough and her lymph nodes were clear. To help avoid future problems, Naomi elected to have a bilateral mastectomy, as her mother had faced breast cancer twice. She has completed that phase and is healing well. Unfortunately, histopathology following surgery told a different story. Naomi’s lymph nodes were not clear. Now, she and her family must endure both radiation and chemotherapy during the holiday season. Naomi would love to escape for a short break with her family before starting phase two of treatment. I have been able to organize tickets to Sea World and am working on the world famous San Diego Zoo. Our goal is to raise enough money to surprise her and cover her family’s plane tickets. If for some reason we are able to raise more, we would like to put it toward her medical bills. Thanks so much for your support!
