Help With Will's Recovery!!

Donation protected

Will Johnson, also known as Will Daddy, suffered a broken back and fractured bone in his neck, among other injuries, while bow hunting on Friday, October 13.  He suffered a compression fracture after he fell from his tree blind, which resulted in the inability to feel anything from the waist down.  Will was airlifted to Grand Rapids Butterworth Hospital, where he underwent back surgery and spent three nights in the surgical intensive care unit.  He has since been moved to a different part of the hospital.  While he has regained some sensation in one of his legs, he is still unable to feel anything in the other leg or move either of his legs.  Will is an avid hunter and outdoorsman, and he has told our mom, Diane, that he wants to get back in the woods and hunt again.  We are hoping that this determination will help him get back on his feet.  He will soon be moved to the Mary Free Bed rehabilitation hospital where he will undergo therapy that we hope will get Will moving toward his goals.  While his future mobility is unknown, we do know that the cost of the medical procedures and hospital/rehab stays will be extreme.  Any support given to Will and my mom will be greatly appreciated.  We also hope that this accident will remind people that safety harnesses should always be worn while hunting from an elevated stand.  It only takes one misstep to change your life forever.  Thank you.
