Community dog wash/fundraising venue

Our DIY dog wash, located inside of Spot's Pet supply, will be used as a venue for rescue groups to host fundraisers as well as a "pay what you can" community dog wash.

Ever since we opened The Dog Spot (doggy daycare and boarding) in East Nashville two years ago, we realized that a community like ours, with so much love for dogs, needed a really affordable place to get those pups clean, so we decided to build a community dog wash as an awesome way to give back and help out local rescue groups as well as the people in the neighborhood.

Our goal is to allow the community dog wash to be used whenever possible (hopefully every weekend) to facilitate fundraising efforts by local dog rescues. We plan to host as many fundraisers as possible and will encourage groups to come in and use our tubs and shampoo, and their organization will get to keep all the money they raise washing dogs.

When the tubs aren't being used by rescue groups, we will charge $9.99 per bath, but people will be encouraged to pay whatever they can truly afford, whether it's a little more or significantly less. Part of the proceeds from each batch will be donated to a variety of non-profits.

We know the community wash will be able to help tons of local groups, but the grooming tubs don't come cheap "” that's why we're asking the community to help us get going. We are launching this Kickstarter to accelerate the process. We would love to get the ball rolling so we can open the store in early November. Right now, our space is a clean, white box. There is a lot of work that needs to be done to open the doors within the next few weeks.
We want you to know we take your gift very seriously. Each dollar that is given through our Kickstarter campaign will be treated with the respect it deserves. We will be sure to keep you in the loop "” after all, this is your store, too!

THE GOAL - $24,100
With this money we will purchase the following:
(4) Grooming tubs ($4,500 each, includes shipping and installation)
(4) Bathing systems ($700 each)
(4) K9 Dryers ($500 each)
Shampoo, safe eye, ear cleaner, towels, etc.: $1,300
So, that's our story, we hope we can count on you to help write the ending!
