Reeses Journey With Radiation

Reese is just 3 years old has now been through 8 surgeries, 5 being Brain surgeries, almost 2 years of different chemotherapy treatments and now we are heading towards Proton Radiation in about two weeks. We just finished his scans and simulation for radiation planning. Most of you know Reese as being such a strong, sweet and lovable fighter. He definantly is! He has been through so much and still has the strength to wear a smile most days. This last surgery on 9-12-17 really knocked him down, collapsing his lower right lung, which he is still trying to recover from even a month later, also taking away his ability to Sit up by himself, stand, walk and movement in his right side. He has been working so hard with his right arm and leg and has been making some progress. We now move on to our last medical option for treatment which is proton radiation. It's something we never wanted him to have to face. This will be 28 (weekdays) of treatment and sedation each day. Most of you already know that the treatment center is far from our home and with Reese having so many medical issues right now and so much medical equipment to depend on, we don't think it's possible to travel everyday to and from treatment from home. We are trying to find lodging so we will have a place closer to the clinic to stay during the week to make this whole new journey easier on Reese. So he can be as comfortable as possible with as little travel as possible. I know this can be very expensive. I don't even know what this will cost yet because I don't know where we will be staying. So we are trying to raise money just for this. Anything we raise will go towards lodging during the 6weeks of radiation and anything more will go towards Reese's needs or medical needs.
