Help For Drakes Recovery

On October 11, 2017 one of my brothers dogs was hit on the main road in front of our house by a vehicle that was going between 50 and 60 mph. After running him to the emergency vet and getting X-Rays we were informed that he has a broken femur, a spinal fracture that may or may not leave him without bowel and bladder control (we will find out more once he starts to heal) and a lung full of fluid (blood). He is currently in stable condition but has to wait for surgery to repair his femur and to amputate his tail because of the fluid in his lung. His surgery will not be until Monday, October 16, 2017 because his body cannot handle being under anesthesia at this moment. Once the surgery is completed we are looking at, at least 8 weeks of recovery just for his femur repair and then we do not know what comes after that. As us right now the medical bills have been well over $1000 and that was just for 12 hours of emergency care, that is not including the actually surgeries, pain medicine, antibiotics, etc. If anyone is able to help out even if it's just a little bit that would be greatly appreciated! Drake is the most loving little guy and he's a tough cookie but it's really going to take a village to get him back to daily life as the happy, goofy, spoiled pup that is usually is. Hopefully we can gather our village and help him get back outside running around and enjoying his simple little life!
