Mr. G Thao’s Life Celebration



Hi everyone,

For those who know us personally our father was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer over one year ago, that quickly escalated to stage 4. The cancer has spread from his liver and now to his lungs, currently he is receiving in home hospice care. Some days it can be very hard as he begins to see things that are not there, he has a loss of appetite, just many things that terminal illness can do to someone.


My father has given up his whole life to provide for my siblings and I, with the youngest only being a sophomore in high school. Many knows my father as Mr. Thao, he dedicated his life to educating others from elementary through middle school and even at a university level teaching at UW-Milwaukee until his body could no longer manage to handle the stress and physicality of the cancer.




It’s taken us a long time to decide to start this gofundme page for him (he knows nothing about this yet) but every dollar that is donated will go directly towards him and his medical expenses that insurance did not cover, all we want right now is for him to be comfortable since we were told that the cancer is very aggressive and quickly taking over his body. Doctors told us that all we need is a miracle for him to get better, so hearing news like that is always very hard to take in. He is no longer receiving chemo due to the fact that chemo was not helping him, we are just praying and hanging onto our faith that he will get better.
