Baby K

My name is Arenthia Gray. I am a second grade teacher at Waccamaw Elementary School in Conway, SC. Some of my colleagues and I are on a mission to raise as much money as we can for one of our colleagues and her family . The couple has two precious little girls. Their eldest is 2 years old and their 2nd daughter ,Baby K was born in April of this year with many difficulties and special needs. After a month or so of being hospitalized at MUSC in Charleston SC , Baby K was finally able to go home with her family. However, she has been back and forth to MUSC for different medical emergencies. She has been through so much in her little life time but she is a fighter. Baby K needs around the clock care. She has a condition that causes her to stop breathing at times. She also still has many, many more doctors visits and tests and surgeries to go.
Like many of us, neither our co-worker or her husband can afford to stop working or take any more leaves of absences to stay home with Baby K. They desperately need to keep their medical health coverage. This Sweet Angel needs around the clock care. Blessedly, our collegue is able to be home with her baby , right now because it is the summer time. However, next month, when school starts back, our co- worker will have to return to work with the constant worry about whether or not Baby K is alright and is being taking care of properly. The baby should not be in a public daycare facility and they cannot afford an in home nurse.
We would like to raise enough money to help with hiring someone skilled and trained to care for Baby K during the day. This little girl has a long road ahead of her. Together we can help prove God's Miraculous Hand is at work in this family's life.
