My Cancer Treatment Support

Donation protected
I was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma Cancer (cancer of the bone marrow). On October 16 2017, I was rushed to emergency at Overlook Hospital in Summit, NJ, after obtaining a compressed fracture in my back. Extra tests revealed the presence of the cancer. I was informed at the time of the diagnosis, the Myeloma was 80% of my bone marrow. The "SHOCK" of the news was unbearable let alone unbelievable. It's reported that, cancer has surpassed heart disease as the leading cause of death in the US. Knowing you have cancer, is like a death sentence. The treatment and the mounting medical bills are more than a person can handle. The medical bills for my treatment are enormous and very stressful; not to mention two children in college; one at Kean University and another at Penn State University. Multiple Myeloma is a cancer of the Plasma Cells. It weakens bones, immune system, kidney, and red blood cells. The average life expectancy is 4 years. However, with continued treatment, ones chances of survival is greatly improved. I would greatly appreciate your assistance with any amount to help me with these bills. Thank you in advance for your help. Benjamin Rockson
