We are looking for a miracle for our dear friend Cristina. Would you or somebody you know consider being her miracle? Even if you are not the one, by simply sharing this page, you could be the bridge that connects Cristina to her miracle. And if you are not the one, we could really use your help in spreading the word.
Cristina is an elementary school teacher that teaches with my wife, and she is a warm, sweet, and a generous soul. She has loved and served kids and other people for her whole career. If you spent just a few minutes with her, you would quickly notice her infectious smile and the sincere sparkle in her eyes. We consider her a gem, and so do her friends, family, and the many children she teaches.
Unfortunately, as a child, Cristina began feeling the repercussions of Lupus, where your immune system attacks healthy cells and organs. To this day, the intermittent effects have caused irreparable damage to her kidneys, and she needs a transplant soon.
That’s the miracle we are looking for, a living donor.
We’ve seen her strength and energy steadily decline over recent months, and we could no longer sit back and watch.
She would never ask, so we asked her if we could spread the word and ask on her behalf. Reluctantly, with the need for a transplant imminent, she agreed. We are all asking, hoping, and praying for a miracle donor to be revealed sooner than later. It is our belief that God already knows who they are, and that this message may find its way to Cristina’s miracle.
We wouldn’t even ask if we hadn’t witnessed a miracle like this before. While we believe in miracles, when you see one happen first hand, you realize that you can actually ask for a miracle and one just might happen. This one is worth hearing about, and even has fun twist. It might be just the inspiration that leads to another.
Miracle Story
My cousin was in Stage 5- end stage renal failure. He had been on dialysis for a long time, and was losing hope. So another faithful cousin decided to start a social campaign just like this one, where she asked her friends to spread the word in search of a potential living donor. Long story short, a friend of a friend of a friend of a friend, multiple states away and that neither of my cousins knew, stepped up and said she would consider being our cousin’s living donor. She selflessly flew into his hometown and gave him the kidney that saved his life. It’s hard to imagine that a complete stranger felt compelled to sacrifice their time and a part of themselves in order to save the life of another stranger, but she did. She was his miracle.
Miracle Twist
My cousin and his miracle donor continued to communicate and hang out, to share times together, and build a budding friendship. Fast-forward to today, and they have decided to be each other’s next miracle…they are now engaged to be married!!
I’m pretty sure they will be helping us spread the word too.
You see, you can never give up, and we can never be hesitant to ask for a miracle. Miracles like this happen every day. So, this is why we are in search for a miracle for Cristina.
