La campaña “Cestas de Navidad 2019” se promueve desde la iglesia de la Sagrada Familia de Nazaret y san Josemaría Escrivá de Balaguer (La Tahona, Caracas) para ayudar a personas necesitadas.
Es un programa que, de manera ininterrumpida, se ha llevado a cabo durante veintinueve años y consiste en entregar bolsas de alimentos, con productos de primera de necesidad, a familias de muy bajos recursos en la Gran Caracas y algunas regiones del interior del país (Vargas, Valles del Tuy, Barlovento, Guárico, Apure, Mérida). Comenzó en el año 1990 (150 cestas) y –en los últimos años– se ha logrado superar las 3000 cestas. Para garantizar la distribución, el reparto se hace a través de las parroquias y vicarías de cada zona.
Este año la meta de entregar 3500 cestas. El costo estimado es de $25 cada una. La situación de necesidad de tantas familias nos obliga a atenderlas y hacer un mayor esfuerzo.

The “Christmas Baskets 2019” campaign is promoted by the Church of the Sagrada Familia of Nazareth and St. Josemaría Escrivá de Balaguer (La Tahona, Caracas) to help people in need.
It is a program that, uninterruptedly, has been carried out for twenty-nine years and consists of delivering food bags, with necessities, to very low-income families in Greater Caracas and some regions of the interior of the country ( Vargas, Valleys of Tuy, Barlovento, Guárico, Apure, Mérida). It began in the year 1990 (150 baskets) and - in recent years - it has managed to exceed 3000 baskets. To ensure distribution, the distribution is made through the parishes and vicars of each area.
This year the goal of delivering 3500 baskets. The estimated cost is $ 25 each. The situation of need of so many families forces us to attend them and make a greater effort.
