Marina was your typical five and a half year old little girl. She was energetic, full of life, loving and her smile and laughter always lit up the room. Tragically, this all changed when Marina was diagnosed with metastatic brain cancer in August 2017. Her parents and brothers felt like their whole world had collapsed and immediately sacrificed jobs, housing and education in Sudan, where they lived, and traveled to Jordan in hopes of seeking better medical treatment.With the generosity of family and friends, Marina is now undergoing extensive treatment. Following many rounds of radiation, Marina has now regained some of her speech and is able to eat without the need of a feeding tube. Unfortunately, this is a small step in a very long and costly road to recovery. Since this nightmare has begun, Marina’s parents have both stopped working, her brothers have discontinued their education, and as a whole, her family has not left her side for a single minute to be by her side. Thousands of dollars are needed on a weekly basis for her treatments and hospital stay. We are humbly asking for any donation to be made through this GoFundMe to continue to support and provide for Marina’s treatment. Your prayers, thoughts and good wishes are much needed and appreciated.
