Living With The Cancer Tiger

Hi there, I'm Holly & I'm living with a tiger within. That tiger's called Cancer. Everyday we watch each other & respect each other. My Doctors have told me that the tiger could eat me at any time, but we could also learn to live in harmony with one other. I much prefer the latter & I live in hope & gratitude that that's how my life will be. I also dream & pray for a spontaneous remission! Like in the Life of Pi, when 'Richard Parker' just disappears back into the jungle! I hope my Richard Parker returns back to where he came from!Back in Feb 2015, I got diagnosed with Breast Cancer, Triple Negative, Stage 3, Aggressive. I had a double mastectomy & lived cancer free for a while there I think. Who knows?Then in Dec, 2016 it spread to my Liver & I now have Liver mets. My oncologist gave me 3-4 months to live which was a big shock! But I like to defy the odds. My Birthday is approaching this December & I can't wait to celebrate it & the fact that I'm still ALIVE. 12 months later! I'm not working at the moment due to being on low-dose chemo tablets & looking after my health, which has become my full time job. Medical expenses are huge, especially when you want to delve into all the alternatives & protect your body, & build up your immune system like I'm doing.I've just returned from 6 weeks at the Hufeland Klinik in Germany. If it wasn't for the treatment there, I wouldn't be alive today. And I wouldn't have made it to Germany if it wasn't for my Gofundme page. The support, Love & generous donations from you all are what got me there in the first place! Thank you with all my heart & soul for everything you've all kindly done for me! It's not easy starting up a gofundme page & I'm so blessed & grateful that one of my best friends, Helen, helped me start mine up. Now I'm taking over the reins & riding solo.
