Imagine daily life on medications with overwhelming costs. Medications literally keeping you alive. Inhalers to keep you breathing for $200 a piece, pills for your brain at $800 a month, pills that are another $300 for 90 count that help to keep food moving through your body, a pacemaker because your brain is telling your heart it doesn’t need to beat.

Almost three years ago Andrea was diagnosed with Autonomic Dysfunction which is a condition in which the autonomic nervous system does not work properly, which affects the functioning of many parts of the body: heart, bladder, intestines, sweat glands, pupils, and blood vessels. For Andrea, these dysfunctions have resulted in brain lesions, a shut-down of her digestive system, heart arrhythmia, and an overall inability for her nervous system to tell her body how to function to daily changing conditions, such as swallowing, eating, breathing, sweating, and even walking.

Imagine financially sustaining these expenses needed to maintain your very existence.

Now, your doctors not knowing what to do next and having little hope are using words such as”not optimistic about your future health.” You’re body is shutting down and you will need to adjust your life accordingly”

Would you just accept all this?

Andrea does not and will not. She's a fighter. She has spent many years fighting for distressed homeowners, volunteering in various organizations always willing to help and to spite her illness still helps whenever she can.

Now Imagine you have the opportunity to go to the Vanderbilt clinic for further treatment with the possibility of sustaining your life and giving you back quality.

Andrea is confident that her experience with the Vanderbilt clinic can offer advantages and possibilities for research and the potential aid for others with her condition. Andrea has decided that she will even allow them to experiment on her if it means doctors can learn more about the disease.
