Help The Nichols Family - 12 Yr. Old

My name is Debbie and I’m here to ask for your monetary help for one of my best friends and her family. Gavin Nichols is a funny, smart, loving, handsome, respectful and simply a one-of-a-kind kid who’s life has been turned upside down. He was (and will be again) an active, healthy and kick butt basketball player. How many kids get sinus infections? Lots right? Well that is where this nightmare began for this hard working, down to earth, honest and loving family .....The end of March 2017 - Gavin had what we thought was a sinus infection, was put on amoxicillin and a few days later he developed a horrible rash - so the Drs. changed his antibiotics. As time continued he had a chronic headache, fatigue, and feeling lousy over all. The pain started and continually worsened, all over body pain. Gavin starting getting stabbing pain that comes and goes in different areas, may last 20 minutes to hours. Nothing seems to help with the pain. Dr's have tried arthritis meds, nerve meds, and steriods. After a few weeks of being ill, he started having mobility issues, at first he could not walk up and down stairs, that continually worsened. Gavin can not get himself up from a seated postion, because of the pain in wrists and arms. Today Gavin is confined to a wheelchair. He has had MRI'S, cat scans, xrays, fluid removed from bones, a lumbar puncture (spinal tap) and a number of blood tests. He has been seen by Infectious Disease Doctors, Rheumatologist, Neurologists, Orthopedics, Child Psychiatrists and 4 Emergency Room Dr's. - a Lyme Literate Dr. And now teams of Dr's in Boston. This child and family are in an endless nightmare and now is the time we can help, we can help by donating and easing a little of the financial burden so they can completely focus on getting Gavin the help he needs. Gavin has not been able to attend school since March because of the pain and all the doctors appointments and therapy. In case you don’t know the family - Debbie and Keith Nichols are both very hard working and stand up citizens who are always first in line to help others in need. Keith just beat his own battle with cancer. Danielle is their gorgeous daughter who is healthy (thank God), smart and is a caring and loving big sister to her brother but I’m sure this has taken its own toll on her. Now is the time we help and ease a little of the financial stress from these amazing parents and one of the most important families In my life. Thank you in advance for your donation!
