French people give me the 'crepes'

Hello guys! Until I make a video, these little paragraphs will have to do!

I've been selected by College of Business at Southern Illinois University Carbondale to complete some graduate level courses at the Grenoble Ecole de Management in Grenoble, France for their upcoming spring/summer short semester (from May 11th - June 1st) as part of my MBA degree program. Because the concentrations for my MBA are in International Business and Marketing, this will provide an invaluable experience for the rest of my life. As a side note, if this experience goes well, I will also have a chance to go to school full time at that university for a second Master's degree for free due to a sister-school agreement between Grenoble Ecole de Management and SIUC.

As is expected, however, France is expensive. C'est la vie, right?
Students in this program are expected to pay for their tuition, their place of residence while in Grenoble, their flights to and from the country and any living expenses (read: food, also other things- I'm sure.) they may incur whilst over there. The fees also cover the transfer credits, the tuition due to SIUC for the home based credit hours, the traveling insurance, etc.

When the math is entirely finished and rolled up into one number, this trip will cost about $9,000.

As an average college student, already drowning in student loans, the cost is intimidating. Adding in the factor that my identity was stolen about 3 years ago, officially trashing my credit and ruining my chance of any private loans from banks, I've taken to asking for help to achieve this awesome dream. Even with my graduate assistantship at SIUC (a job where I trade work for the University each week in exchange for tuition payment and living stipends), I won't have enough money saved before the leave date to fully fund the trip on my own, nor will I make enough through my various scholarships to help fund the trip.

I know everyone works hard for their money, but I'm asking for an investment; an investment in my character, in my career and in my future.

This opportunity is amazing, and I refuse to let it pass me by.

So, I need your help. Even $1 will make a difference.

Although it isn't much, I will personally give a handwritten thank-you note to anyone who helps sponsor me on this trip, no matter the amount.

As part of this website, I can also promise little gifts for different levels of investment- I'd love to hand out pictures from my trip, bring home souvenirs, and bake some home made goodies to show my appreciation for any help- I'll need all the help I can get!

So please, please consider helping me out. This trip could mean the world to me, if I can attend, and I'd owe you the world for helping me get there.
