Save Charlie the Pug
Donation protected
Please help save lovable, one eyed Charlie, by contributing to a liver shunt surgery. Without it, he will die.
Charlie was rescued by a good friend when he was just a puppy. His breeder had dumped him at a Veterinary office to be put down because of his missing eye and not being able to make money off of him. It was love at first sight for my friend, who has the biggest heart and has rescued her fair share of animals and nursed them back to health.
Unfortunately, Charlie developed a condition called a liver shunt where the liver can not process toxins and ammonia. In addition, he had also been diagnosed with kidney issues prior, hence draining funds by the time his liver shunt was diagnosed. A specialist needs to perform the surgery and requires money upfront at an estimated five to six thousand dollars. This money is just not available for her.
I turned to Gofundme as a gift for dear Charlie who has become a much loved pug in our numerous pug communities and online groups. My heart breaks for a woman who is too proud to ask for help, but is desperate not to let a happy animal die. While there are great risks involved in the surgery, she is determined to give him a chance because an animal diagnosed with a liver shunt, is destined to die without surgery.
Surgery and his patient info can be confirmed at Sage Animal Hospital in Dublin CA. for your peace of mind.
Please consider helping - it would mean so much, no matter what size donation you can make. We thank you deeply.
