Hurricane Family Reunification

Wendy (left) is a selfless champion for survivors of sexual assault here in Las Vegas. She spends her time advocating for those fighting for dignity, justice and a voice. Two weeks ago, while Hurricane Maria ravaged her native Puerto Rico, she was participating in the annual meeting of the Nevada Coalition Against Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault in Reno. She had to watch from a strange city the weather updates that described unspeakable damage to her hometown of Bayamon, where her mother and special needs brother still live. NOW Wendy need help. She has secured all the logistical concerns to get her elderly mother and nonverbal brother to the states, but she needs help with airline tickets. Everyone is asking, "How can I help for real in Puerto Rico?" Let me tell you, this is as real as it gets. Please consider helping pay for the airfare for Wendy's mother, brother and her other brother from Florida who will assist with his sibling's safe transport under these unique circumstances.

Also, this fund will help provide the basics necessities for them upon arrival, like clothes, a bed, toiletries.
