We are a Montessori school in San Juan, Puerto Rico, established in 1999. We started with 35 students. Since then we have grown significantly having now 130 students this school year 2017-18.
We have a Toddler, Preschool and Elementary program, and in addition to the academic instruction, our students take Art, Yoga, Music and Swimming classes.
We have a very special school and community in the center of the San Juan area. But sadly we are facing very hard times. Hurricane María has devasted the island, and our school has suffered greatly.
A large part of the Preschool house's roof flew away. Three (3) of the four (4) walls that make up our property are literally crumbling down. And many of our doors, windows and furniture have to be replaced.
Please, any help is greatly appreciated. Our children need peace and hope. They need to return to their second home; some have lost their first one. They need to return to a sense of normality, to the place they never want to leave. We are all, teachers, parents and community, working very hard to make our school safe, functional and beautiful.
