Jean Marc's Mighty Fight

Donation protected
Please consider helping Jean Marc and Kathleen in their fight against Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Today is Day Zero -- this afternoon JM will receive a bone marrow stem cell transplant from a generous unknown donor. From this point, each day will be known as +1, +2, +3, etc. for at least 100 days. After being released from the hospital, JM will require 24 -hour supervision should symptoms arise requiring immediate medical attention. Thanks to another generous friend, we have use of an apartment near the hospital in Portland ( a stipulation prior to receiving transplant). While Kathleen continues to work as much as possible, she and I will be tag-teaming between Astoria and Portland to care for Jean Marc. During this time, JM will need a very specific diet, with everything cooked at home (too bad for him when I'm on duty haha) -- no pizza or take-out! We are hoping friends will donate to help defray costs that have not only arisen in the several months JM has been unable to work, but for unknown expenses over the long months of recuperation and rehabilitation ahead. These would include medical, travel (gas, uber, lyft), food, parking, cleaning supplies, reduced work hours, future caregiving, etc. Please help if you can -- no amount is too small. JM and Kathleen would also like to stress that any funds not used will be donated to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and/or Be the Match. Thanks for your consideration and prayers, Kate.
