Support The Fight For Steve Alfino

What can I say about my brother Steve...I'll start with he is funny and always gives me a good laugh whenever I'm around him. He's supportive and there when we need him and wishes the best for all of us. He's faithful in God, sweet and caring and loves his family. He's worked hard to support his family and has always been a wonderful father to Courtney and Anthony. Now he's loving and doting on his two grand babies, A.J. And Micah. His best friend is his wife Laura and as they are entering the time of their lives to watch their youngest son grow into adulthood and enjoy their grand babies, life has taken an unexpected turn. The ugly words of "Steve, you have cancer" have plagued him and his family. And it is an aggressive form of cancer that the doctors tell him their is no cure. With typical treatment of chemo and radiation they tell him he may have a year. And of course the treatment is very aggressive and his quality of life would not be good. With no treatment, 3-6 months. I know this is shocking. We have been praying hard for better answers. With all that said we are hoping that the promise of alternative therapies will help him in his fight. I find it hard to understand that the main path of treatment does not include various therapies to kill this horrible thing called cancer mainly because insurance will not cover them. There are several cancer clinics offering these alternative therapies but the cost will be more than what insurance will cover, if it will cover any of it. The various treatment centers range from 50k-100k. This of course does not include accommodations, time away from work and other costs. So we have come to this. We are asking for your financial support in any way you can or feel inclined to help. The money will be used for helping his treatments and family during this time. You know, it's interesting, there are 5 of us siblings and he is the oldest. We are not children anymore but I still feel like a baby sister and he is my big brother. This family is here to fight and pray and do what we can do to keep him here. We're not done with him yet!
