Continued Assistance Needed For Hous

Hello all, first I want to thank all of you who have been so very supportive of my fight. The issues with housing will be coming to a conclusion soon. I am now in the Licencing Holdover hearing phase  that will determine whether I am entitled to Secession Of Rights to the apartment I have been in all my life. You might remember that my grandmother passed before she was able to add my name to the lease; this is the reason for all of the legal issues I have faced in trying to protect my right to remain in my home. 

This apartment has been in my family for over 50 years and I am not going to let it go without a fight. Since the passing of my grandmother I have used my apartment as a international hub, welcoming folks from across the country and around the world (including harm reductionists and advocates (Louise Vincent, Don Allan Jackson, Tino Fuentes, two 2 delegates from South Africa who spoke at the United Nation and many others. Not only do I want to stay in my home, but I want to maintain the safe haven and meeting space that it has been. I have welcomed into my home many of my hardworking hardworking colleagues, those that advocate for the rights of global communities of people who use drugs, people living with HIV/AIDS, homeless individuals and all communities that face discrimination and criminalization simply because of who they are and what they do. Please help me to stay in my home so that I can continue my mission of fighting to improve the lives of global communities and to keep my door open to allies fighting alongside me.
