<div>On October 2, 2025, at 1:15 p.m., my husband Edwin Quiñones Rojas was detained by ICE. He sold fruit under the bridge at Cicero and I-55. He is an honest, hard-working, respectful man who, with his charisma, won the hearts of many of his customers by giving away fruit to people who at the time didn't have cash. He had been working there every day for seven months. Due to his arrest, I was left alone with my eight-year-old son in this country. I don't have childcare so I have difficulty going out to work. I'm afraid they'll catch me. My husband is still detained in Arizona. We don't know what will happen to him. My son suffers a lot because he is very attached to his father and waits for him every day. It's a very difficult situation, not knowing what to do, how to work, having faith in God to help me through this difficult situation.
