PURCHASE LAND FOR HEALING CENTER

God called me to Africa a year ago and I spent 3 months in Mozambique and then did missions in Zimbabwe. When I came back to the United States, my heart was unsettled by the poverty and the conditions that women and children were living in. I was very troubled in my heart. Not to mention the fact is I fell in love with Africa and I knew I was going back. I had been carrying a vision in my heart for now, I look back its over 10 years or more since I had a vision to start a healing center for abused women. The vision became stronger when I got home and it was really nagging at me. What if I can go back to Africa and start it there? The needs are so many. So, after being home only a month I connected with a man on facebook, who had shared my vision and he was already putting a center together in Uganda. However, he was from Kenya. So through our connection I prayed earnestly, about going to Kenya and after many confirmations. Here I am. Immediately, arriving to Kenya, I was already introduced to this person's family, who I am now living with. The second day I was here I was preaching in there church. And within two weeks the Lord was showing me his purpose. Kenya, as in many countries have a very high rate of prostitution and abuse in the bush. I have not done the statistic's for the cities or even the town I live in. Poverty is an issue especially in the villages. Kenyan's, are very hard working people and many farm. The church I am now associated with I am in the process of becoming an ordained pastor,but unfortunately they do not have such funds to fund my vision. I have been building relationships with many of the women. The church consist of mostly women, and most are single mom's and many that have come out of abuse and or are still in abusive relationships. The women here are taught to be tough and that is the way things are and many are forced into prostitution. Witchcraft is very prevalent here. The village where the church is, is called Rongai. This is where I am feeling strongly to set up the center. I am living in Nakuru which I have to travel by bus to get to and it takes anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour, depending on the stops and the driver. The government is pressing me to move to Rongai now. They are aware of my vision and are excited and thrilled that someone has come to help there communities.
I recently found some land just on the outskirts of Rongai that has a house on it, that I can live in but the most important part of this land, is it has many crops on it, that are soon to be ready to harvest. I can see that this land, which would produce massive quantities of corn, maize and vegetables and also fruit, that could be sold to local stores. My heart is not to borrow any money from the government, but to be able to be self reliant and seek only necessary funding from outside sources. I have people to farm the land, that is not an issue. My biggest challenge at the moment, is the lack of funds and to match with people who can share and see my vision. This is a God given vision. Also on the property I want to build houses on it for visitors. I actually have someone who is willing to build the houses for free and only charge for materials. I will able to get livestock which will also benefit the center. I am also believing that there will be enough crops to feed many women and children. There are two main foods that are eaten here in Kenya and one of them is Maize
I will post pictures as soon as I am able to get a camera. I am just working on getting the down payment at this point as the owner has asked me to come up with at least $7,500 in American dollars converted into Shillings is a lower amount.The total cost of the property is $22,000. The Center will be build close by, and I have already been given the plans and go ahead to start the center. There is no such center in all of Kenya. The center will provide counsel for women in need, and I will be starting a massage center. I am looking at starting safe houses for women that need to escape abuse and homeless women as well as women that want out of prostitution.
