Bill Jewell's Hospice Fund

Donation protected

As many of you know, my stepfather, Bill Jewell, was diagnosed with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis about two years ago. He has fought hard and pursued treatment but the outcome is now inevitable. At the advice of the hospice nurses who had been working with Bill, my mom, Paula, had to make the difficult decision to place him in Hospice House in Concord a month ago. Medicare will no longer pay for his care at Hospice House because he has reached the thirty day limit. The burden of covering the $170 a day for Bill to remain at Hospice House now lies on the shoulders of my mom. She is seventy five and cannot take care of my stepdad on her own so she has no choice but to pay for his care. $1200 a week is well over the amount she makes just to support herself. Bill's doctors can not predict how much time he has left so we are unable to anticipate the overall expenses. My mom has a difficult time accepting help; however, she has agreed to let me start this GoFundMe to help her cover Bill's care. Thank you for your love and support. If donations exceed Bill's end of life care and funeral expenses we will gift the amount to Hospice House.
