LeRoy Simmons Cancer Surgery Benefit

LeRoy Simmons is a 14-yr-old Syracuse City (SCSD) freshman who has suddenly found himself fighting Osteosarcoma (bone cancer). Only a few months ago, LeRoy was playing football, lacrosse, and boxing until he was diagnosed with cancer. He is that kid that is always smiling and looking for the best in every situation. He has never complained about getting cancer and is the one always encouraging his friends and family when they visit him. He is facing numerous upcoming surgeries and has been undergoing chemotherapy treatments since August. LeRoy lives with his two brothers, a sister, and his mother who works at a local Syracuse hospital as a technician. The money raised from this benefit will help with LeRoy's care, travel expenses for the surgeries, and follow up care at Sloan Kettering Hospital in NYC.
