Funeral Expenses For Meshebia

Donation protected

As some of you may know, there was an accident on Eastman Rd. in Longview, Texas on Friday evening, September 22nd. One of the sweet souls lost was Meshebia Johnson. Meshebia was 17 years old, a senior at Pine Tree High School, with a beautiful daughter named Averlee, & a life full of promise & opportunity ahead of her. Meshebia, whom we also referred to as "Sheba", "She-She", & "Jasmine", due to her striking resemblance to the Indian princess from the movie Aladdin, enjoyed running track & playing softball, as well as spending time with her family & friends. Then, she had Averlee, & her life took on a whole new meaning as she took the first steps into the journey of motherhood. She was a young mother, but she did an amazing job. Meshebia was a strong, beautiful, intelligent young woman with wit like a whip & a heart as soft & warm as melting butter. She went out of her way to help others & did her best to be a good Christian woman, & an even better human being. Averlee will be turning one year old soon. Her mother will not be there. Her mother will not hear her first full words, nor see her daughter grow up to be a strong, kind woman as her mother was. Averlee will not get to share moments filled with heartbreak & makeup & matronly advice. Meshebia's mother & father, Maggie & Elbert Johnson, will never see their little girl graduate high school, or college. We, her family- parents, grandparents, siblings, aunts, uncles, nieces & nephew, & the multitude of us cousins- will never see her smile or hear her laugh again. We won't get to see her get married or expand her family, or build upon the promising future she had begun to build for herself & Averlee. That in & of itself is a burden to bear, & it's oh-so heavy. In spite of her absence, Averlee will know her mother. We will tell her of her mother's endless grace, love, & laughter, & instill in her these same traits, that she may grow up to be bold, brave, & beautiful inside & out as her mother was. However, now the family is also now saddled with another, even more pressing burden: a proper funeral. At the time of Meshebia's death, she had no life insurance policy, due to financial constraints, & as a result, the family cannot afford a proper funeral, which she, & the family deserve. So, we ask, both humbled & hopeful, that the members of the community that she was a part of, & those of you that knew her & cared for her, as well as those who know the pain of loss, & those of good Christian faith, to help us properly memorialize our sweet little Disney princess. If you can't donate, PLEASE share this. All we want to do is ensure her a funeral that she deserves.
