Hurricane Maria Aftermath. #PR

Hello Friends and Family,For those that don't know me my name is Anthony Gonzalez Peña, and I'm from Canovanas Puerto Rico. The reason why I'm starting this fundraiser is because our beautiful island of Puerto Rico has suffered a devastating blow due to Hurricane Maria. Thousands of people are stranded in flooded areas and are in desperate need of our help. They have no water, food and most importantly in most cases, no medicine. I honestly don't know what else to do to ask for your help. But I'm a firm believer that, if you don't try you will never know. We are not asking for a lot but anything helps. Also just to clarify, I will do everything within my power to help as many people as possible with your donations. I will save and document every transaction of your donation and send them directly to your email so please add an accurate email with donation. As of right now Friday September 27th at approximately 3:18pm local time, most of the island is without power, water, or phone services. On a good note in some areas, At&T and Claro are both working providing their respective services. At&T with phone services (no internet) and Claro with broadband internet. Also, WAPA radio (local Puerto Rico) station has been live throughout the entire Hurricane and is still live as I write this letter. Every donation counts, doesn't have to be big but the GoFundMe minimal of $5 and it can add up. If you are not able to place any donations that's fine, share this post, that's just as big as a donation. Little by little it'll spread and it'll be used to save lives. Also for clarification purposes, I am not a non profit organization. I'm simply a man who loves his island and his people and wants to help as many people as possible. We can't just sit here and do nothing, it doesn't feel right. We have to at least try. As I mentioned before, I will document every transaction with your donation and send them directly to your email. The donations will be used for to continue to establish communications with loca residents and their families worldwide. The donations will also be used to provide food, medicine and shelter for those in need. The plan to withdraw thee funds will happen on a weekly basis, depending on the donations. The more donations we can receive the more families we can help. Thank you so much for the support! Yes there's plenty of nonprofits but they can't get to everyone, even if we help 100 people, that's 100 people we just saved. Every since the hurricane hit I've been listening on the radio on how thousands of people including elderly and children are stranded in flooded areas. Last thing, I can't do this alone.
