Spike is ill again. In January, he underwent a full veterinary work up, inclusive of CBC, Chemistry panels, fecal examination, urinalysis, radiographs, barium series, ultrasound, and finally exploratory surgery. The end result was that there was never a definative diagnosis. Our fear was that if we did not know what caused him to be ill the first time, it would be difficult to prevent it from happening again. But he did recover. The vet bills, although ALL of our vets were more than fair with us, still, between the services, presciptions, hauling etc was at almost 8, 000.00. 
The money you see raised is actually mostly from the FIRST time. We already had raised $2,000.00 from the first medical funding. That money has already been paid to the vet in the FIRST visit
Spike is ill again now in July. He was rushed in for emergency care on July 26th. At first it was thought that perhaps there was a dental issue, but that now has been ruled out by full skull and dental x rays. So far he has had emergency care, fluids, and endoscopy, full skull and dental x rays, blood work, anti emetic injections, vitamin injections, antibiotic(long acting) sedations, and hospitalization. This bill is going to be as much if not MORE than the last time. Spike will be five in August.
