Disability & Abuse Project

Advocating and educating on practical means to reduce the risk of abuse for persons with developmental delays is something that most of you know I am passionate about. My friend and fellow Partner in Policy Making graduate, Tracy Gavisk, and I have been invited to attend a Roundtable on the 2012 National Survey on Abuse of People with Disabilities in Los Angeles on October 11, 2013 by Dr Nora Baladerian at the Spectrum Institute. Attending will equip Tracy and I to help others in Kansas City and eventually Missouri to reduce the risk of abuse, promote healing for victims and to seek justice for those hurt by abuse.
Contributions will cover air fare, hotel costs and travel incidentals for both Tracy and myself.
