Save Rory's leg!

Donation protected
Rory was rescued by Hand in Paw 501c3 from the deadly Devore shelter with an unknown leg injury. He was not bearing any weight on it, and it was very limp. He was immediately taken to the vet, where x-rays revealed that his leg is completely atrophied, and the bones are very brittle and undeveloped. He is only 4 months old, so this phase of growth for him is essential to normal development. Poor Rory also has a hemorrhage in his eye, which could have occurred from strangulation. His leg injury is also a probable result of abuse. He has received Vitamin D injections, and will be receiving stem cell injections and will start physical therapy to strengthen his bones and muscles. We are hoping that these steps will help him to start bearing some weight, and eventually, to fully recover. If he does not respond well to treatment, then we may have to amputate his leg, as it may be deemed useless. Rory is the sweetest boy with so much love to give, and we want to give him all the help he deserves. These treatments and therapies will be very costly, so we are depending on the generosity of others to help him. Let's give him a fresh start after a very rough and terrifying first few months of life; humans have already let him down once...
