Ava was recently diagnosed with MLD (Metachromatic Leukodystrophy).
Ava was born a beautiful healthy child, a 18 months old she was not walking. Her parents wanted a second opinion and went to Children's to see a neurologist. After much testing and several more specialist the parents got this devastating news.
Ava was diagnosed in July of this year. She was talking, crawling, sitting on her own, unfortunately since then she has already lost all these abilities, and is unable to do any of those things any more.
We are hosting a fundraiser on October 11, 2013, to show support for the family, and to spread the word about MLD.
