HELP JENE GET TO A HEART SPECIALIST

My dear friend, Jene McCovey needs your support to see a heart specialist.
Jene has been in the hospital for the past few weeks, first with pneumonia and then with high blood pressure. She was released from St. Joseph’s Hospital yesterday, but her blood pressure is spiking up to 250, which puts her at risk of having a stroke, aneurism, or broken blood vessel, so her doctors have referred her to a specialist in the Bay Area, which is 6 hours away. She needs to go ASAP, but she cannot afford the expenses of getting there.
As many of you know, Jene was in a very bad car accident when she was younger, leaving her permanently paralyzed. Because she is confined to a wheel chair, Jene has to rely on others to help her on a daily basis. Jene needs to raise money to cover the costs of a care-giver, transportation, food and lodging while visiting the specialist for evaluations and treatments over the next several weeks. Despite all of this, Jene remains positive and needs your support to get well so that she can continue her work on the forefront of social, environmental and tribal issues in our region.
