Help Save CoCo!

CoCo was carelessly shot through her back by a neighbor on Sept. 2, Labor Day weekend. Within seconds of hearing a gun shot, coco's humans discovered that she was the intended target of the gunfire as she limped towards them, clearly wounded and bleeding profusely from her back.Realizing how gravely injured she was, my husband, myself, and CoCo's father rushed her to the hospital. Upon arrival, treatment was refused until we agreed to pay the estimated amount of about $2200 for treatment. After 10 hours of X-rays, blood work, muscle repair, surgery, and a final medical bill totaling an astounding $1900, CoCo returned to her home with staples and drainage tubes. Her family could breathe easy again. CoCo has a pitbull brother named Caine, who is still visibly upset and nervous about his older sisters health and condition. She also has two (human) sisters, one in 6th grade and another in 2nd, who love their furry sister beyond comprehension. Her parents, love her unconditionally and treat her like she is one of their childrenUnfortunately, 8 days after being shot, CoCo abruptly stopped eating. After another veterinarian visit it was discovered that she has complications and needs another surgery to survive. Faced with another devastating $1800 vet bill, we've decided to reach out for help. My name is Kelly. CoCo and her family are my neighbors. I love them as if they were my own flesh and blood. They would do any and everything they could to help a friend or stranger in need.Everyone deserves a break in life. CoCo and her family are far overdue for theirs. Please consider donating to help this wonderful family and their beloved fur baby. Any amount will help, tremendously. If donations exceed the total vet bills of $3320, we will donate the rest to the charity "Pits for Patriots." Pit bulls have wrongly been assigned a terrible reputation over the years. Due to alarmist media coverage, pit bulls are often portrayed as unpredictable, vicious creatures with ‘locking jaws.’ This is an incredibly biased view on this breed of dog. CoCo did not deserve to be shot as if her life didn't matter. CoCo is the epitome of "mans best friend." CoCo is one of the sweetest dogs I have ever had the blessing of meeting. God bless you.
