Help Paul Babcock With Life Saving Surgery

You may not be aware, but Paul Babcock has been battling a serious and debilitating injury and living with relentless and ever-increasing pain for a year now. The lower half of his body is numb, and it is quickly spreading to his arms. Paul’s medical prognosis may be terminal if he does not have immediate back surgery, which hopefully will alleviate his pain and prevent damage to his vital organs.

15 years ago, unknown to Paul, he injured his back during a slip and fall incident while doing yard work. The fall amplified his existing degenerative scoliosis.

Paul has searched North America and has spoken to many back surgeons, all to no avail. Paul then found the “needle in a hay stack” in Professor Dr. Bertagnoli situated in Bogen Germany. Dr. Bertagnoli is the worlds leading back surgeon who revolutionized artificial disk replacement. Dr. Bertagnoli is the only Doctor qualified and willing to assist Paul with his spine surgeries, however, two invasive surgeries will be required at his clinic with a one month stay in hospital and a further month of rehabilitation at his clinic. Paul will be receiving 4 replacement disks and further medical spine procedures to correct his spine, with his the first surgery tentatively scheduled for mid to late June 2023 and the second surgery three weeks later.

Paul and his wife Michele are pillars of our community and church and have not reached out for assistance. At times like this, we need to come together in support of good people living through an intensely difficult period in their lives. With your help we can get Paul back on track and living his life, enjoying and supporting his growing family.

Today’s economic climate is very difficult, as the surgery alone is estimated to be $250,000. Paul is currently liquidating personal assets in an attempt to gather the funds for travel and related expenses that are over and above $250,000. When facing a potentially life or death scenario, and being asked to pay a quarter of a million dollars---money that people simply do not have---how does one make that decision? You may help! Our government will not compensate the medical expenses, while North American Doctors do not have the ability to perform the required surgeries !
