To my family, friends, and church members,
It seems to be a very long journey already and I know my family is just starting the race. Knowing the initial diagnosis for Tony's cancer was stage IV Wilm's tumor took my breath away. It was like I was gasping for air under water. The tough part is trying to be strong in front of everybody surrounding you and stronger still when you hear your child screaming from the pain he has never experienced before. If only I can have his pain but I can't. I can't protect him and the thought of it is crushing me.
I have had to go on unpaid leave to take care of him full time. We spend a great deal of time away from my daughter and home over at Nemour's Childrens Hospital over in Pensacola for treatment. These changes are quiet difficult to challenge but with your support, with warmest hugs, grateful hearts and deep appreciation for your thoughtfulness, thank you. May God shower more blessings upon you and your families.
