This is sweet George. He is currently a resident at PAWS, our local animal shelter. He has not had the best life - suffering from abuse, being hit by a car, and a vicious attack by another dog - yet, he is the kindest, sweetest, most gentle dog you'd ever meet. Just spend a few minutes with him and this special guy will touch your soul.
Unfortunately, George's injuries have led to a severe health condition that must be treated. He has a major ear infection that has progressed so far that the ear canal of his right ear is completely closed. This has to be surgically treated before his ear ruptures. The surgery is called a TECA, Total Ear Canal Ablation.
As a shelter dog, George has no owner to cover the costs of this surgery. We are raising money to cover his medical expenses and save his life. The surgery will cost $2500.00 (all inclusive). We are going to a vet in another town because they will perform the procedure at a significantly lower cost than we could find locally.
George needs this as soon as possible since we have no idea when the ear might rupture. We will schedule as soon as we can.
We know there are thousands of special dogs in shelters, but we promise you, George stands out. Just look into his eye and you will fall in love. Please help us get him the surgery he needs to stay alive and happy.
