A Multimedia Documentary to share our unique Patagonia experience of survival, beauty and our natural environment.

Hello, we are Jaime and Josh.

In late 2016, we spent five weeks living in a found abandoned house in Yendegaia, Chile, with our dog Pascal.  Without a plan, or any defined agenda, the house and the land gave us direction - we spent our time relearning our daily routine in accordance with our environment.

Yendegaia is a new and undeveloped National Park located in Tierro del Fuego, an island in Magallanes, the southern-most region of Chile. It is one of the most remote and beautiful places on earth. In all our time there, we did not experience the presence of a single other human being - however, the onset of Spring provided an abundence of new animal and plant life.

Experiencing the magic of this found home, we felt the drive to make this a new way of life, to learn how to work with nature, to become self reliant, and to share this with the world.  Anxieties of societal life melted away as we reconstructed the home, planted gardens, built furniture, cooked our meals, and created warth with fire.

After five weeks we felt content with our time and our work but we also felt that there is more to do. We imagined what it would be like to arrive there prepared, with both the equipment and knowledge to allow us to delve in deeper to this way of life.

We spent the next several months educating ourselves, learning about permaculture, technology, carpentry, as well as historical information about the methods natives used to survive. We now feel more prepared to share a more robust experience.

We know about this secret place and the overwhelming phenomenon of it's existence. We think about those who wonder there after us. We want the feeling inside of them to be even more magical - a house full of life, far away from organized society. A home with intension, preservation, and unexplainable solitude, while being surrounded by such a harmoneous living environment.

For those who are not physically able to witness this phenomenon, we want to share an alternative. We intend to deliver multimedia documentation of this adventure with the world community. Tangible and intangeble documentation will be captured through video, physical spaces, and sound - an interpretation of the past, present, and future of this specific experience.

This summer we will return for an extended period of time, with two goals - to find our dog Pascal and become one with the land. It will be a grand experience in the true spirit of adventure.

We are launching this GoFundMe project, in an effort to capture our experience, and to share it with the rest of the world.  We are seeking $3600 for equipment and logistics, to create a multimedia documentary - we want to convey the feeling of freedom, solitude, and self sufficiency through an expressive and investigative documentation.
